nieuwe eigen layout// New personal layout (patje)
update kolenkraan
We are back a lot further in building
the new layout
Steam trains have already water and sand
but the coal was missing,
kraan in treigne mariambourg (stoomtreinmuseum belgie)
The coal crane is finally placed
and loading can begin ...
The crane is based on a real working
crane in treigne mariam bourg (steam train museum belgium)

The tracks are indeed filled as before
However .... the sleepers will covered with brown tiles
1x4 and 1x2
the 1x4 tiles I have this
the 1x2 should I order, I may have enough,
to fill the area of the station (tile (1x2))
Now I work first and everything around the tracks
in the station ...
The next project is something for diesel trains
the steam locomotives have now normally everything
beyond repair pit ... but for that part
the tracks need to high up (3 bricks).
But that is also on the other side of the layout
concerned the signals , which are not yet working
I ,have to do an update, but now what I'm home
I prefer to do some construction and during normal days
I look furthur on the signals ...

which is already there pete,
but difficult to see on the picture ...
he is only 1 brick and plate height,
otherwise the wheels of the trains
fater on the wall
if they are wider than 6 studs (trains)
in neemt
I try as much as possible to bring authenticity
such as modeling, taking into teh layout
but considering that lego need a lot more space
hmmm :-o

Meanwhile, a small but not insignificant update
for traffic.
such as the Belgian railways,
stand on any signal in the station,
or goodsstations a phone ..
that is for failures, to notify the signal post ....
to me (on the layout) that is now the case
vroeger zonder telefoon:

This is a nice system for automatic control of the train tracks.
Do you think it is possible to combine this with a digital system?
For my own layout I would like 1 or 2 trains manually control the rest automatically run. Using digital commands, and that the manually controlled trains can pass between other traffic.
How does the detection works in a block , I could not find it. Something with reed switches?

hello,
i'll reply in english as my dutch is not so good.
occupancy detection is done via current draw.
as soon as one engine is in the section, there is a current draw, and this in turn give one signal of occupancy.
this signalisation system being based on the "JMRI" software, it's fully compatible with DCC system (fully automatic run, manual run or manual run between automatic train)
